My standard fee rate is $165 per 50 minute session, determined by my experience and tenure as a therapist. When I see two or more people at the same time, such as for couples and family counseling, I prefer to see them for 80 minutes; I find that 50 minutes is just not enough time together if we want everyone to be able to have a chance to participate. My fee for this is $245.
I will consider seeing people bi-weekly, if costs constraints require this, however I ask that the first 8 sessions are consistently weekly. This helps us understand what we are working on and establish the relationship necessary for effective treatment. Many issues are resolved within eight sessions.
Due to the limited nature of my availability, I am unable to offer a sliding scale at this time. I see clients during daytime business hours, and only occasionally on weekends or evenings for emergency situations or interventions only.
Fees are due at the time of service, preferably before the onset of the session so it is not distraction during our parting. I prefer payments by cash or check. You may also pay by via PayPal, however there is an additional 5% surcharge for making payments by this method, which will you will add when you make the payment. Exceptions regarding delayed payment or a payment plan may be made in advance and by mutual agreement. There will be a $50 service charge on all returned checks (NSF), without exception. Please feel free to discuss your financial situation or special payment arrangements with me ahead of our scheduled appointment.
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your appointment time you will be charged the full price for the session time booked for the missed appointment.
There are only two exceptions to incurring the cancellation fee: extreme emergency or STAY-AT-HOME illness, when you notify me before 8:30am on or before the day of your session by email or by phone message. There are no penalty fees charged for these types of cancellations, with early morning notice. If you fail to inform me of your illness prior to 8:30am, the morning of your appointment, the cancellation fee will apply.
